Ingredients
175g / 6oz / 1.5 cups white bread flour
1.5ml / 1.25 tsp salt
5ml / 1 tsp easy-blend dried yeast
120-150ml / 405 fl oz / ½ - 2/3 cup lukewarm water
Method
Sift the flour and salt into a mixing bowl and stir in the yeast. Add the water and mix to a soft dough. Knead on a lightly floured surface for 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
Return to the clean bowl, cover with lightly oiled clear film and leave in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until the dough has doubled.
Knock back the dough, knead it for 2 minutes, then roll it out to a 25-30cm / 10-12in round. Place on a greased baking sheet and knock up the edges. Top and bake as suggested in recipes.

Mix and knead the dough in a food processor, if you prefer, but transfer it to a bowl for rising. |
