Jennies Fried Tomatoes.
Ingredients
Tomatoes, about 2 per person, depending on their size.
Little cream
Little butter
Seasoning
Little sugar
Method
Cut the tomatoes into slices, roll in flour and fry in butter until both sides are brown.
Season with salt, pepper and a little sugar sprinkled over either while cooking or after the tomatoes are browned.
Lay the tomatoes into either your serving dish, or warmed plates ready for serving.
In the pan the tomato juice will give you the start of the sauce. Into this stir in one cupful of cream thickened with a little flour, let it come to the boil, then simmer for a few minutes to allow the flour to cook out, about 2-3 minutes. Then pour over the tomatoes.prodaja stanova
