Hush Puppies

A quick and simple recipe for vegetarian hush puppies.

Ingredients

1/2 cup flour, sifted
1.5 cups white cornmeal
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 egg, beaten

Method

Combine all ingredients.

Drop into hot oil, 1 teaspoon at a time, and cook until golden brown.
